Tatting is the art of making lace by knotting the working thread around the base thread. Traditionally a shuttle was used to hold the thread, but there is also a method of tatting using a needle. Tatting was popular a century ago, but didn't seem to gather the same following as crochet or knitting. Nowadays, there seems to be a resurgence of tatters. There are many tatters online, and at least two active mailing lists devoted to tatting. There are many new techniques being developed, expanding tatting's versitality.

I intend to showcase tatting pieces old and new here, as well as shuttles, booklets, and so forth.
